Not necessarily. We assess the existing switchboard, available capacity and protection requirements. If it is suitable, we can proceed with the charger installation. If an upgrade is needed, we explain why and provide clear pricing before the work begins.
Single-phase home charging is commonly up to around 7.4kW. Three-phase charging can support higher output, often up to 22kW, but only when the vehicle and property supply support it. Actual charging speed depends on the car as well as the charger.
Yes, with a compatible solar-management charger and correctly configured system. Chargers such as Zappi and some Wallbox models can help use available excess solar, subject to the charger, inverter, vehicle and installation setup. Solar charging is not automatically available on every installation.
Where required for the electrical work, Electrical3 will complete the applicable NSW electrical safety certification and provide the customer copy. Installations are carried out by licensed electricians in accordance with applicable Australian electrical requirements, including AS/NZS 3000.
